About the position
The Quality Assurance Lead at Rose International is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of a lending payment platform through functional and regression testing. This role involves modernizing the platform by refactoring and creating resilient code in Java, while collaborating with software engineers and analysts in an Agile environment. The position is hybrid and open to all U.S. time zones, with no travel required, and offers a long-term contract with potential for full-time conversion.
Responsibilities
- Modernize the payments platform by refactoring and creating new code in Java, Oracle, and MySQL as needed.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Identify and communicate potential risks during the development process.
- Code software including unit tests and ensure that all code is tested and packaged for production deployment.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in functional and regression testing.
- Proficient in Java and experienced with Spring Boot for application development.
- Hands-on experience with IntelliJ as a development environment.
- Skilled in working with MySQL and Oracle databases for testing and deployment purposes.
- Experience working in Agile environments and participating in cross-functional teams.
