About the position

The Quality Assurance Manager I at DHL is responsible for managing and coordinating quality assurance activities across various sites and customers. This role involves ensuring compliance with governmental regulations, overseeing quality resources, and supporting global quality initiatives. The manager will also focus on continuous improvement of the quality system and act as the primary contact for quality assurance issues.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of quality assurance activities across multiple sites and customers.
  • Confirm requests for quality support and communicate policies and procedures.
  • Act as an expert regarding governmental regulations for the site(s).
  • Serve as a proactive liaison with customers for quality assurance.
  • Develop, manage, and oversee site quality resources.
  • Support global and cross-sector Quality and Regulatory initiatives.
  • Oversee the maintenance and continuous improvement of the overall quality system.
  • Manage the licenses, permits, and registrations process.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance regarding products and services at the site.
  • Hire, train, and develop quality associates.
  • Monitor training and development of site associates for compliance.
  • Coordinate with the continuous improvement team on activities and workshops.
  • Review and provide recommendations on audits from regulatory bodies, customers, and third parties.
  • Identify trends within quality assurance metrics and report to management.
  • Develop and maintain regular management reports.
  • Manage site suppliers and conduct audits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or 5+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Six Sigma Certification or similar quality control certification preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Graduate degree in a related field preferred.
  • Certification related to quality control (RAC, Six-Sigma, etc.) preferred.
