The Product Quality organization at Meta is dedicated to ensuring that products are thoroughly tested and assessed for launch readiness from a correctness perspective. This team operates across Meta's core products, collectively referred to as the Family of Apps, which includes platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, Threads, and Ads products. The primary goal of the team is to shift testing efforts to earlier stages of the product development lifecycle, enabling early testing and the development of automation strategies to prevent issues from reaching production environments. We are currently seeking a Quality Assurance Manager who will serve as a hands-on engineering leader responsible for building a new team focused on enhancing automation coverage and effectiveness across the Family of Apps. This role will significantly influence the quality assurance processes and methodologies employed in product development. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in quality assurance leadership, strong communication skills, and a background as a detail-oriented QA engineer. A passion for building exceptional hardware and software products, along with experience in consumer electronics, is essential. The candidate should have a deep understanding of various testing techniques and the creativity to develop innovative methods for quality assurance. As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will be tasked with building and managing a QA team, which includes hiring, coaching, and mentoring team members. You will build upon existing automation strategies and create new ones to empower engineering teams across Meta to implement automation at scale. Additionally, you will develop product expertise to identify and address gaps in automation and functional test coverage. Establishing team metrics for measuring quality and operational excellence will be crucial, as will leading the implementation of best practices, methodologies, and tools to meet the quality coverage needs of our products. You will advocate for testability, drive best engineering practices, and focus on defect prevention while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Your responsibilities will also include planning, developing, and executing a comprehensive test strategy across core Family of Apps products and platforms in close collaboration with the product engineering team. You will tackle cross-platform engineering challenges and contribute innovative ideas to enhance product quality. Furthermore, you will implement and evolve QA processes to obtain effective test signals and scale testing efforts across multiple products.
