About the position

The Quality Assurance Policy and Strategy Analyst at Northrop Grumman plays a vital role in ensuring compliance with quality management systems, specifically AS9100 and ISO 9001 standards. This position involves conducting audits, evaluating corrective actions, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the Quality Management System (QMS). The analyst will collaborate with various teams to ensure that all quality requirements are met, contributing to the overall mission assurance of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Performs Quality Management System (QMS) audits and process audits.
  • Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements.
  • Evaluates corrective actions, dispositions, and modifications.
  • Evaluates non-conformances to alert management to potential systemic process issues.
  • Supports customer and external audits of our QMS standards.
  • Supports continuous improvement activities within the QMS.
  • Interfaces directly with internal manufacturing, engineering, operations, supply chain, and program management teams to ensure all QMS requirements are met and compliant.
  • Interfaces with QMS team members and the Safety & Mission Assurance organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (Equivalent years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree)
  • 2+ years (level 2) or 5+ years (level 3) of industry experience in quality management systems, process management, and continuous improvement
  • 2+ years of industry experience in process auditing focused on AS9100 and ISO 9001 requirements in an aerospace and defense environment.
  • Experience performing internal audits for AS9100 compliance.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Experience with nonconformance and corrective action database systems.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance (US Citizenship Required).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • ASQ Certified Auditor.
  • Experience with TipQA, Windchill, SharePoint, Jira, Tableau, and One Note.
  • Appreciation for a Continuous Improvement culture.
  • Experience in reporting and remediation of Corrective Action Requests.
  • AS9100 Certified Lead Auditor.
  • Strong organizational skills.

Benefits

  • Salary Range: $62,000.00 - $83,000.00 for level 2
  • Salary Range: $76,000.00 - $105,000.00 for level 3
