About the position

The Quality Assurance Engineer will focus on functional and regression testing of Gateway Services products, working independently with senior management and technical teams globally. The role involves developing and executing effective test strategies and planning activities to ensure the quality of software applications.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct functional and regression testing for Gateway Services.
  • Develop and execute formal test plans to ensure the quality of software applications.
  • Lead and participate in test planning and quality review sessions, oversee the writing of test cases/scripts, and engage in application, network, system, regression, and user acceptance testing.
  • Participate in daily calls as needed for hands-on testing.
  • Perform test planning, design, scripting, execution, debugging, and reporting.
  • Execute automation test activities for large projects, coordinating with technical and business teams to define test scope.
  • Research new tools and testing approaches, implementing and monitoring them.
  • Drive continuous improvement across all processes, including team standards, test planning, resourcing, test execution, debugging, metric collection, and reporting.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of related technical experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience and/or certifications.
  • Extensive knowledge of information systems components (hardware, software, and network) and their application in business functions.
  • Proficiency in testing tools, database concepts, and MS Office.
  • Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and methodologies, such as Agile/Scrum.
  • Hands-on experience testing APIs and RESTful/JSON web services.
  • Automation testing experience with tools like QTP/UFT, JMeter, Selenium WebDriver, and TOSCA.
  • Familiarity with business processes and rules impacting information system development and implementation.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in merchant payment processing (e.g., authorizations at point-of-sale, Card-Not-Present, eCommerce, clearing & settlement systems, fraud/security analytics).
  • Knowledge of payment processing for financial institutions, including systems for debit cards, loans, credit card accounts, notifications, preferences, transactions, fraud, settlements, etc.
  • Experience with high-volume, large-scale processing and reporting in financial services.
  • Familiarity with payment industry applications.
