About the position

The position serves as a critical link between the development team, system technicians, and customers, focusing on ensuring effective communication and collaboration. The role involves conducting functional testing, data analysis, and database reviews to verify software quality and system functionality, while also utilizing programming skills to address coding issues. The successful candidate will be responsible for verifying system functionality post-installation and reviewing code for security vulnerabilities, contributing to the overall quality assurance and release engineering processes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary interface between the development team, system technicians, and customers.
• Conduct comprehensive functional testing, data analysis, and database reviews to verify software quality and system functionality.
• Utilize programming skills to identify and address coding issues or configuration errors impacting system installations or functionality.
• Enter identified coding errors into the bug tracking system (e.g., DEVOPS) and coordinate with developers to implement necessary code updates.
• Verify system functionality post-installation to ensure customer requirements are met and address any outstanding issues.
• Review code in progress for security vulnerabilities and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Research and evaluate innovative technologies for potential incorporation into our software products.
• Undertake small customization jobs for customers as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience in software quality assurance and release engineering roles.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, testing methodologies, and release management.
• Proficiency in C# and .NET for troubleshooting and code review.
• Experience with bug tracking systems and version control tools.
• Familiarity with database management systems (e.g., Microsoft SQL) and cloud platforms (e.g., Azure).
• Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills with attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities with cross-functional teams.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of security testing tools and techniques.
• Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
