About the position
The QA/QC Inspector at Wire 3 is responsible for ensuring that construction installations comply with safety and quality management protocols. This role supports overall project quality control and compliance, verifying work completed by both internal and external crews, and communicating project risks to management. The position emphasizes collaboration with field supervisors and requires strong documentation and reporting skills.
Responsibilities
- Ensure construction installation complies with Wire 3 safety and quality management protocols.
- Support overall project quality control and compliance for completed work.
- Verify units placed on project work by internal and external OSP placing crews.
- Identify construction installations that do not meet Wire 3 specifications.
- Review drawings and finalize as-builts for final records.
- Communicate project risks to the Construction Manager as they arise.
- Assist in implementing project/program plans as assigned.
- Work directly with Field Supervisors on areas of completion and inspection-ready segments of construction.
- Provide documentation, reports, and information to Regional Management as directed.
- Utilize established company tracking methods and systems to report crew productivity.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of safety and quality management protocols in construction.
- Experience in quality assurance and quality control processes.
- Proficient in using Excel and Word for documentation and reporting.
- Ability to walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in fiber optic technology or telecommunications industry.
- Familiarity with construction drawings and as-built documentation.
