About the position

The Quality Assurance Software Tester 2 at Joyce Meyer Ministries plays a crucial role in supporting the IT Division by designing, developing, and executing test strategies that align with the organization's mission to Share Christ Love People. This position emphasizes the importance of quality assurance best practices to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions that reflect the ministry's core values of Love, Faith, Unity, Excellence, and Integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, document, and maintain testing artifacts using well-defined, industry-standard best practices.
  • Execute test plans and report on quality standards.
  • Communicate continuously throughout the organization regarding testing outcomes.
  • Coordinate User Acceptance (UA) testing according to the quality plan.
  • Measure and report quality performance contributing to defined quality metrics goals.
  • Stay current on QA best practices and methodologies to provide expertise in resolving QA questions and concerns.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in quality assurance.
  • Knowledge of SQL for database testing.
  • Proficient in manual testing techniques and test automation.
  • Strong understanding of Quality Assurance methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Experience with API testing tools like Postman for testing APIs and web services.
  • Hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks.
  • Ability to write reusable test scripts and create efficient automation frameworks.
  • Proficient in creating, updating, and running automated test scripts aligned with requirements and user stories.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to mentor others and work well both independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work to deliver on time.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Experience with creating and managing test data for different test scenarios.
