About the position

The Quality Assurance Supervisor at Chobani is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing quality assurance activities within the plant. This position ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and leads quality initiatives while managing a team of Quality Assurance Technicians and Leads. The supervisor plays a critical role in maintaining product quality and safety standards, as well as coordinating laboratory operations and compliance with state and federal regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise QA leads and technicians in monitoring and testing ingredients and finished products; schedule, train, and evaluate performance.
  • Oversee microbiology laboratories, analyze and interpret results while ensuring lab safety and Good Lab Practices (GLP).
  • Maintain systems for checking and verifying process compliance, including SPC, HACCP, and Quality Systems.
  • Implement programs to minimize product loss or deviations from established standards, and communicate effectively with the team.
  • Ensure all analytical methods used in laboratories are current and compliant with Standard Methods.
  • Coordinate calibration and certification programs for plant and laboratory equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and local regulations, including personnel and milk plant licensing.
  • Maintain proper records and conduct information analysis.
  • Collaborate efficiently with other plant groups to meet operational standards.
  • Maintain lab supply levels and manage inventory orders.
  • Ensure plant SOPs are current and aligned with analytical methods.
  • Present updates to upper management on the status of the Quality Department and quality issues.
  • Follow Chobani Safety Procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Complete additional tasks as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in food science or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of quality assurance or quality control experience within a food safety environment.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of relevant supervisory experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects successfully.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Competitive salary range of $66,400.00 - $99,600.00 plus bonus.
