About the position

The Quality Assurance Supervisor at Actalent is responsible for managing a team of four QA members, leading training initiatives, and overseeing performance management. This role involves updating quality assurance programs, preparing for audits, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards. The supervisor will analyze data to generate quality reports and communicate issues regarding non-conforming products to the QA Manager.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of 4 Quality Assurance team members.
• Lead training sessions and oversee performance management for QA staff.
• Update HACCP, SOP, and QA programs and procedures.
• Assist in preparation and execution of BRC, customer, and internal audits.
• Analyze data to prepare quality reports on products and processes.
• Maintain food safety and quality standards for processing raw materials into finished goods.
• Communicate issues with on-hold and non-conforming products to the QA Manager.
• Ensure the team follows GMP guidelines.
• Maintain quality management systems.
• Prepare samples for shipment and maintain sample storage.
• Responsible for tasting flavors to ensure they are within specifications.

Requirements

• High school diploma with 5+ years of QA experience and at least 1 year of QA Supervisor experience.
• Associates degree or BS degree with at least 3+ years of QA experience and at least 1 year of QA Supervisor experience.
• Strong communication skills with colleagues, management, vendors, and customers.
• Strong leadership skills to delegate work and manage team performance.
