About the position

The Quality Assurance Tech position involves supporting the Quality Control Team in a manufacturing facility by performing routine bacteriological and chemical testing of products. The role is essential for ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards, maintaining quality documentation, and assisting in food safety audits.

Responsibilities

• Maintain control of all original Quality documents.
• Ensure accuracy of Quality policies and procedures on an ongoing basis.
• Test all products for physical, chemical, and bacteriological means.
• Accurately interpret and record testing results.
• Review production paperwork for accuracy and traceability.
• Prepare product samples for customers and outside laboratories testing.
• Ensure problems are brought to the QA Manager's attention.
• Assist QA Manager in food safety audits and SOP reviews.
• Perform other document or lab related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred in Food Science, Safety, or Quality Management.
• 1+ years in a quality role within a manufacturing facility preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of food production experience.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret quality assurance documents and compliance regulations.
• Ability to write reports, policies, and procedure modules.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts relating to quality.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience updating procedures.
• General understanding of usage, maintenance, and calibration of all lab equipment.
