About the position

The Quality Assurance Technician position on the 3rd shift at a growing food manufacturing company involves ensuring adherence to food safety and quality programs. The role is crucial for maintaining product standards and involves monitoring processes, conducting tests, and driving continuous improvement within the quality team.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor process controls to ensure food safety and quality program adherence.
  • Perform sample collection as required for microbiological or chemical testing.
  • Conduct product sampling and analysis to monitor product texture and shelf-life.
  • Troubleshoot and take appropriate corrective action when deviations occur.
  • Document, monitor, and analyze data to drive continuous improvement.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of all products manufactured by the plant and the raw materials, packaging materials, and operations required in the manufacturing process.

Requirements

  • Bachelors/Associates degree or 1 year of experience in a Quality Assurance role in a food manufacturing facility.
  • 1 year of GMP experience.
  • Ability to assess risk and make decisions under pressure in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Ability to work in an environment with a wide range of temperature.
