About the position

The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for assessing and maintaining the quality of new and existing products in a light industrial setting. This role involves conducting inspections, supporting quality planning, and collaborating with manufacturing and engineering teams to ensure product quality and compliance with standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct part and process inspections to support production quality.
• Complete pre-kiln inspections for final pre-firing approval.
• Inspect parts for critical-to-quality features using drawings and process cards.
• Review manufacturing processes for correctness and assist with improvements.
• Communicate findings to the team leader and collaborate with manufacturing and engineering as needed.
• Support and train QC inspectors with critical inspection tasks.
• Investigate quality issues and assist with process improvements.
• Participate in the development and execution of test and measurement requirements.
• Assist in implementing process control methods and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Conduct quality ISO audits as required.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.

Requirements

• Ability to interpret technical drawings and use measurement equipment.
• Strong interaction and teamwork skills.
• Demonstrated motivation to learn new technical skills and accept challenges.
• Ability to ensure adherence to processes through collaboration with operators and leads.
• Proficiency in MS Office software (Word and Excel).
• Willingness to learn and use software associated with measurement tools.
• Ability to report results in a technical format, using averages and means.
• Knowledge of or willingness to learn basic statistical parameters.
