About the position

Primo Brands is a leading branded beverage company in North America with a focus on healthy hydration. We are proud to offer an extensive and iconic portfolio of highly recognizable, sustainably sourced, and conveniently packaged branded beverages distributed across more than 150,000 retail outlets. The position is located at our factory in Saratoga Springs, NY, with a compensation of $29.77/hour and a shift differential of 6%-8% of the base hourly rate for applicable hours worked. The schedule consists of 12-hour shifts on a rotating 3-4-3 schedule from 5:00am to 5:00pm, and the ability to work holidays and weekends is required based on business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform tests to analyze water samples, including pH, conductivity, turbidity, alkalinity, hardness, and temperature.
  • Conduct online inspection, sanitation, and cleaning activities.
  • Use various types of test equipment in both production and laboratory settings.
  • Communicate with production technicians and leaders to troubleshoot quality issues.
  • Verify quality checks for line operators as part of the Release Program.
  • Support sanitation activities, line start-ups, and factory projects.
  • Manage items requiring quality hold including non-conforming goods.
  • Support QMS, HACCP, GMP, ICP, micro, sensory and Release Programs, including sample collection and analysis.
  • Manage documentation and organize information for auditing.
  • Develop SOPs and standards related to food safety and quality.
  • Utilize problem-solving tools to support continuous improvement.
  • Support food safety and quality training across multiple operational functions through training and coaching.

Requirements

  • College level education desired, relevant pursuit of study in a related area a plus.
  • Prior experience performing basic laboratory procedures.
  • Exposure to Quality Assurance or Production in a food or beverage processing facility is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work self-directed and with a team.
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills with experience working in a team-based environment.
  • Experience with sanitation and microbiological control systems.
  • Familiarity with food safety and food defense requirements, audit and regulatory environments, microbiological testing, MI and other manufacturing control systems.
  • Ability to interact with various internal contacts to manage the flow of work.
  • Exposure to Fluid processing and the principles of sanitation science.
  • Understanding of good manufacturing practices and HACCP principles is necessary.
  • Computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft applications, SAP experience a plus.
  • Focus on safe work practices and high quality while executing duties with a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and make independent decisions related to quality and operation excellence.
  • Ability to move/lift 50 lbs and stand on your feet for long periods of time throughout the day.
