About the position

The Quality Assurance Testing Analyst at Regions plays a crucial role in supporting the application development organization by conducting complex software testing activities. This position focuses on improving the functionality of application systems across the organization through manual testing, analysis of test data, and collaboration with peers. The analyst is responsible for maintaining documentation, coordinating non-functional testing activities, and assisting in the development of training plans for junior analysts.

Responsibilities

• Performs manual testing of applications
• Analyzes test data to determine pain points and recommend improvements
• Maintains documentation for testing activities and cases
• Collaborates with peers to create parameters and comparison data
• Performs post-production validation
• Assists with coordinating non-functional testing activities
• Assists in the creation of summaries and assessments of application performance
• Remains abreast of trends in testing tools and strategies
• May assist management in determining technical knowledge pain points
• Assists with complex testing projects
• May offer advice and guidance to junior analysts
• Assists with the design, scripting, configuration, and running of performance tests

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED and eight (8) years of quality or related experience
• Bachelor's degree in related field and four (4) years of quality or related experience
• Strong knowledge of software implementation methodologies
• Strong knowledge of test case design and strategy
• Strong knowledge of test management tools such as Azure DevOps, qTest, or Application Lifecycle Management (ALM)
• Ability to collaborate with other team members and teams
• Ability to research, analyze data, and derive data-driven solutions
• Strong priority management skills
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skills
• Strong work ethic and self-motivation
