About The Position

J&A Manufacturing is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Inspector to ensure that products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. This role is critical in maintaining the quality assurance processes within a dynamic contract manufacturing environment specializing in precision sheet metal fabrication and CNC machining.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree in a related field preferred.
• 3+ years of experience as a Quality Inspector in a precision manufacturing environment, preferably in contract manufacturing.
• Solid knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards, including experience with compliance and audit preparation.
• Proficiency in using precision measuring tools and interpreting GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
• Familiarity with First Article Inspection (FAI) processes and AS9102 reporting.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently to meet deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and familiarity with quality management software is a plus.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Utilize precision measuring tools to assess product specifications.
• Prepare and maintain documentation related to quality inspections and compliance.
• Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) and generate AS9102 reports.
• Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Participate in internal audits and assist in compliance with ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards.
