About the position

As a Quality Automation Engineer at Equifax, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of products through the development and execution of test plans. Your responsibilities will include creating and maintaining automated tests, conducting quality control tests, and collaborating with development teams to enhance product quality and customer experience. This position requires a strong focus on quality assurance processes and the ability to identify and implement improvements in testing strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop Test Strategies and Plans, including data creation and management.
  • Identify regression tests for future scenarios.
  • Create reusable, automated tests.
  • Modify SDLC to ensure adherence to the Engineering Handbook, including security standards.
  • Execute all test cases and detect defects early.
  • Pretest and validate deployment plans with detailed steps.
  • Execute post-deployment verification plans and record results.
  • Conduct resilience testing and document results.
  • Establish common defect severity definitions across the company.
  • Complete web accessibility testing with no open violations for customer-facing web interfaces (WCAG).
  • Ensure end-customer needs are met to drive processes for a flawless customer experience.
  • Raise issues with developers and product owners.
  • Shorten and amplify feedback loops to deliver products faster and with higher quality.

Requirements

  • BS or MS degree in Computer Science or Business or equivalent job experience required.
  • Exposure to cloud and Infrastructure as Code concepts.
  • Expertise with cross-device testing strategies and automation via device clouds.
  • Experience preparing and delivering executive-level presentations to business and technology audiences.
  • Experience monitoring and developing resources.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with performance engineering and profiling (e.g., Java JVM, Databases) and tools such as Load Runner and JMeter.
  • Ability to create acceptance and integration test automation scripts and integrate with Continuous Integration (Jenkins) and code coverage tools (Sonar, Clover) to ensure 80% or higher code coverage.
