About the position

Labriola's Automotive is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Check Technician to join their team in Wilmington, NC. This full-time position offers an opportunity to enter the automotive field, focusing on quality control and customer satisfaction. The technician will ensure that all work is completed to high standards and that vehicles are returned in a cleaner condition than received. The role also includes maintaining a clean and organized shop environment and assisting with various automotive services.

Responsibilities

• Perform the shop's Quality Control Inspection process on all vehicles after repairs or services.
• Conduct a Mini-Clean on all vehicles to ensure cleanliness before returning to customers.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop, including bathrooms and locker rooms.
• Regularly check and clean the outside grounds of the shop.
• Drive the company van to pick up parts and shuttle customers as needed.
• Assist with specific services and repairs on customer vehicles as directed by the Shop Foreman or Manager.
• Ensure the rental car fleet is clean and ready for rental.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of passenger automobiles to identify components in the engine compartment and undercarriage.
• Skilled in basic automotive repair tasks such as changing tires and oil.
• Valid US Driver's License and ability to drive with passengers.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs without assistance.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as sweeping and using a floor cleaning machine.
• Professional interaction skills with customers for answering questions and completing shuttle rides.
• Ability to read and write in English, both on paper and on a computer.
• Basic counting and math skills.
