About the position
The Quality Civil/Structural Inspector I plays a crucial role in ensuring that construction projects meet quality standards and specifications. This position involves assisting management in establishing project requirements, training craft personnel, and conducting inspections on various structural elements to ensure compliance with project specifications and governing codes.
Responsibilities
- Assist management in establishing project requirements for quality control procedures and techniques.
- Train and test craft personnel on proper techniques and procedures.
- Perform inspections on rebar, form, concrete, earthwork, and structural steel throughout the site.
- Ensure the quality of work conforms to project specifications and governing codes.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Civil Journeyman/Structural Journeyman.
- Extensive knowledge of concrete, rebar, underground activities, foundation, structural and construction materials, and processes used for each activity.
- Good aptitude and manual dexterity.
- Good reading comprehension skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as a team player.
- Strong communication skills with co-workers and supervisors.
- Commitment to safety rules and regulations.
Nice-to-haves
- Current Zachry or Zachry ROF'ed employee.
- Former experience working with Zachry Industrial, Inc.
- Former QC experience.
