As an Intern at Rocket, you are a crucial part of our team and are trusted to make decisions and be part of our spirit of collaboration, all while exploring the business area you’re interested in. As a Quality Control Analyst Intern, you’ll assist in performing loan-level reviews to ensure compliance with applicable policies, regulations, and industry guidelines. This role will provide valuable hands-on experience in the mortgage industry and exposure to quality control processes.

Responsibilities

  • Review loan files to verify the accuracy and integrity of information used in the lending decision
  • Analyze loan documents for compliance with regulatory, investor, and internal guidelines
  • Participate in various quality control audits to identify and monitor risk factors
  • Communicate findings and recommendations through clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Utilize quality control software and systems to document and track review activities
  • Maintain quality control review timelines and ensure deadlines are met
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance quality control processes and procedures
  • Assist with other projects or tasks as assigned to support the quality control function

Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous internship experience in the financial services or mortgage industry
  • Familiarity with loan origination or servicing processes
  • Understanding of mortgage loan products and guidelines (e.g., FHA, VA, Conventional)
  • Coursework or training in quality assurance, auditing, or compliance
