About the position

The Quality Control Analyst, Journeyman position at IT Concepts involves supporting Department of Defense (DoD) projects by ensuring quality assurance protocols and testing procedures are effectively implemented. The role focuses on overseeing quality tests, monitoring processes, and preparing detailed reports on quality metrics to inform decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives. This position requires a strong understanding of DoD-specific quality regulations and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design and advise on quality assurance protocols, testing procedures, and performance standards that align with DoD regulations and project requirements.
  • Oversee the execution of quality tests, such as functional, performance, and security testing, on DoD projects, ensuring defects or issues are identified and addressed promptly.
  • Monitor and audit processes, deliverables, and reviews against established standards, conducting continuous analysis of quality defects and deviations.
  • Identify deficiencies or gaps in quality assurance activities and develop solutions to ensure robust quality processes.
  • Prepare detailed reports on quality metrics, test results, and process improvements, presenting findings to DoD leadership or project stakeholders.
  • Optimize processes to comply with existing and new requirements.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree and 3 - 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Associate's Degree plus 4 years work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree.
  • 6 years work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree.
  • In-depth understanding of DoD-specific quality regulations, standards (e.g., MIL-STD, ISO 9001), and acquisition processes.
  • Proficiency in various testing methodologies (e.g., functional, performance, security testing) and quality control techniques, including statistical analysis and root cause analysis.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to lead a QA team, manage schedules, and coordinate quality efforts across multiple departments.
  • Ability to analyze quality metrics, interpret test data, and generate meaningful reports that inform decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with DoD projects and familiarity with military standards.
  • Certification in quality management or related fields.
