About the position

The Quality Control Analyst I position at CU*Answers is a critical role responsible for the Quality Control testing and validation of CU*BASE and related software applications. This position requires close collaboration with both the Product and Programming teams to analyze reported software problems and new project specifications. The Quality Control Analyst will assist in follow-up coordination, testing, and validation to ensure that software meets the required standards before deployment. In this role, the analyst will perform testing of new and enhanced CU*BASE software as assigned by Quality Control management. It is essential to document test procedures and results in accordance with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and CU*Answers Programming and Development Standards and Guidelines. The analyst will also analyze problem logs reported by clients and assist Technical Resources leadership in ensuring proper follow-up coordination, testing, and validation of these issues. Additionally, the Quality Control Analyst will support documentation efforts as needed, which includes documenting software changes and testing procedures. Maintaining a positive contribution as a member of the Technical Resources Team is vital, and the analyst will be expected to complete all tasks assigned by management to meet team objectives. This position is ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented, possess strong problem-solving skills, and can work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Perform testing of new and enhanced CU*BASE and related software as assigned by Quality Control management.
  • Document test procedures and results as required by the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and CU*Answers Programming and Development Standards and Guidelines.
  • Analyze problem logs reported by clients and assist Technical Resources leadership in ensuring follow-up coordination, testing, and validation.
  • Support documentation efforts as needed, including documenting software changes and testing procedures.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two-year degree or comparable work experience required.
  • Experience and comfort working with computer software; ability to learn and explore new software independently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Thoroughness, excellent attention to detail, and good problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and initiate projects with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to use discretion when dealing with sensitive or confidential data.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with the CU*Answers CU*BASE system preferred, but not required.
  • Familiarity with credit union operations, regulation and procedures, accounting and balancing functions preferred but not required.
