About the position

The Quality Control Analyst (Level 2) position at Lockheed Martin is a critical role within the F35 EMAS Quality & Mission Success (Q&MS) team, specifically operating on the 3rd shift. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about quality assurance and are eager to contribute to the success of the F-35 program. The analyst will be responsible for developing and implementing inspection plans, procedures, and tools that effectively detect product defects, ensuring that the highest standards of quality are maintained throughout the production process. In this role, the Quality Control Analyst will provide mentorship and on-the-job training to the quality control workforce, sharing knowledge of quality control methods, techniques, and tools. The analyst will also analyze and interpret data and metrics to derive actionable intelligence that drives continuous improvement initiatives. Collaboration with Quality Engineering will be essential, particularly in identifying the root causes of defects and developing robust corrective actions to prevent recurrence. The position also involves conducting surveillance audits to ensure compliance with the F-35 Quality Management Plan and developing defect containment actions. The analyst will maintain data and metrics related to product defects, variations in manufacturing processes, and adherence to engineering requirements and work instructions. This role is pivotal in ensuring the organizational health of the Q&MS team and the overall success of the F-35 program.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement inspection plans, procedures, and tools to detect product defects.
  • Provide mentorship and on-the-job training related to quality control methods, techniques, and tools.
  • Analyze and interpret data and metrics for actionable intelligence and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with Quality Engineering on root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Conduct surveillance audits for compliance with the F-35 Quality Management Plan.
  • Develop and coordinate defect containment actions.
  • Maintain data and metrics related to product defects and manufacturing process variations.
  • Ensure production adherence to engineering requirements and work instructions.

Requirements

  • Data analytics experience.
  • Technical experience with engineering specifications and drawings.
  • Experience utilizing precision measuring tools and inspection equipment.
  • Ability to work Third shift.
  • Experience in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Familiarity with Final Acceptance and Safety of Flight inspections on the F-35 or similar military fighter jets.
  • 3 or more years experience reading and interpreting blueprints and technical documents.
  • Experience developing charts and building presentations.
  • Experience communicating information clearly and concisely to peers and leadership.
  • Experience with PDM, QADS, VAS, and SFM systems.
  • Experience with DCMA Customer integration and communication.
  • Experience influencing and leading teams.
  • Experience working in a diverse team environment and adapting to changing conditions.
