About the position

The Quality Control & Assurance Specialist at Hudson Cannabis is responsible for ensuring compliance in operations related to the distribution, receipt of raw materials, and oversight of production activities. This role involves adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Processes (GMPs), and the Cannabis Safety and Quality (CSQ) program, while optimizing quality department protocols through monitoring strategies and continuous improvement of processes.

Responsibilities

• Update documents according to document control procedures.
• Coordinate and support the QAQC Manager via virtual meetings and phone.
• Maintain consistent and reliable logs in all departments as set by the department manager.
• Develop processes and procedures to implement the quality management system.
• Work with the department manager on quality-related requirements and audit preparation, conduct audits, and maintain facility and regulatory certifications.
• Ensure the quality of incoming raw materials, product release, and product deviation events.
• Participate in the investigation of unusual situations from manufacturing, purchasing, receiving, quality control, and customer complaints.
• Monitor all packaging and manufacturing quality activities daily and conduct material reviews when necessary.
• Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers and management, ensuring quality standards are upheld.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
• One year of quality control experience or experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience developing and implementing GMPs is a plus.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly and constructively with coworkers.
