About the position

The position involves performing inspections and evaluations related to construction projects, ensuring compliance with various codes and standards. The role requires a minimum of five years of experience in inspections, with responsibilities including material receipt inspections, welder qualifications, and QA/QC error prevention. The job offers opportunities for multi-state travel and requires the worker to have their own transportation and hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Receipt inspections of materials received at project job sites.
• Perform and/or evaluate tests for qualification of welders and/or welding procedures to ASME Section IX, AWS D1.1.
• Perform inspections and document in accordance with Code of Construction, Government Standards, and contract requirements.
• QA/QC error prevention and physical inspection of construction activities such as Civil, Concrete, Epoxy Anchors, Structural Steel, Bolting (RCSC), Grouting, Mechanical, Pressure Testing, Coatings, etc.
• Coordination of NDE Inspection contractors.
• Conduct Pressure Tests and document results in accordance with Code and contract requirements.
• Verification of compliance to drawings, code, & project specification requirements.
• Responsible for creating and collecting verification documents for final work packages.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Able to pass a drug test.
• Legally eligible to work in the US.
• Must have own transportation to and from jobsite every work day (driver's license not required).
• Must provide own hand tools (excluding power tools).
• May be expected to travel where the project requires (multi-state opportunities).
• Minimum 5 years or equivalent in performing inspections.
• Experience with codes of construction and/or standards such as ASTM, ACI, AISC, AWS, RCSC, API, and ASNT.
