About the position

The Quality Control Engineer at Crowder Constructors Inc. is responsible for ensuring compliance with construction standards and specifications through inspections and evaluations. This role involves conducting material inspections, performing tests for welders, and coordinating with inspection contractors to maintain quality assurance throughout various construction activities. The position is integral to the successful execution of heavy construction infrastructure projects across multiple states.

Responsibilities

• Receipt inspections of materials received at project job sites.
• Perform and/or evaluate tests for qualification of welders and/or welding procedures to ASME Section IX, AWS D1.1.
• Perform inspections and document in accordance with Code of Construction, Government Standards, and contract requirements.
• QA/QC error prevention and physical inspection of construction activities including Civil, Concrete, Epoxy Anchors, Structural Steel, Bolting (RCSC), Grouting, Mechanical, Pressure Testing, and Coatings.
• Coordination of NDE Inspection contractors.
• Conduct pressure tests and document results in accordance with Code and contract requirements.
• Verification of compliance to drawings, code, and project specification requirements.
• Responsible for creating and collecting verification documents for final work packages.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years or equivalent in performing inspections.
• Experience with construction codes and standards such as ASTM, ACI, AISC, AWS, RCSC, API, and ASNT.
