About the position
The Quality Control Inspector - 2nd Shift is responsible for conducting thorough inspections of products before they are shipped to customers. This role involves ensuring that all components meet specified dimensional requirements and quality standards, as well as assisting in training production staff on quality control practices.
Responsibilities
- Conduct final inspections of layout, fitted welds, and final assembly before shipping.
- Perform thorough inspections and measurements for dimensional requirements, including hole placement and overall dimensions.
- Interpret blueprints, sketches, and drawings, and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Monitor layout dimensions and verify locations, ensuring proper fit-up of pieces prior to welding.
- Assist in training production staff on quality control standards.
- Measure and visually inspect weldments for final acceptance.
- Maintain accurate inspection records.
Requirements
- Experience in welding and inspection processes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Proficiency in using measuring tools and equipment for inspections.
