About the position
The Quality Control Inspector I position at Arthrex Inc. is responsible for performing and documenting inspections on inventory parts to ensure they meet specified quality standards. This role involves working under direct supervision and may include specialized tasks in various areas of quality control, such as incoming material inspection and final product evaluation.
Responsibilities
- Performs and documents dimensional inspections on inventory parts using engineering prints, inspection procedures, or work instructions.
- Selects products at specified stages in the production process and inspects them for various qualities, such as dimensions and functionality.
- Records data, applying statistical quality control procedures.
- May perform nondestructive tests on materials, parts, or products to measure performance, life, or material characteristics.
- Specializes in particular areas of quality control such as incoming material, process control, product evaluation, and final inspection.
- Detects nonconformances during production operations effectively.
- May prepare graphs or charts of data or enter data into a computer for analysis.
- May perform quality control equipment calibrations and record the data as required.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 1 year of QC or related industry experience preferred.
- Ability to interpret and understand engineering prints.
- Ability to use measuring tools and devices.
- Mechanical aptitude and detail-oriented.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with measuring and test equipment.
- Proficiency in PC and spreadsheets.
