About the position

The Quality Control Inspector role at MISTRAS Group, Inc. involves performing inspections and testing on raw materials, parts, subassemblies, assemblies, and final products to ensure they meet specified quality standards. The position encompasses responsibilities across receiving, in-process, and final inspection stages, requiring attention to detail and adherence to quality management procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspection and testing on raw materials, parts, subassemblies, assemblies, and materials received from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Conduct First Article inspections and prepare Material Review Reports and Material Return Notices.
  • Prepare Supplier/Subcontractor Monthly Quality & Workmanship and Rating Reports.
  • Enter inspection data into the Quality database.
  • Inspect parts, subassemblies, assemblies, and final products supplied by production to ensure conformity to specifications.
  • Conduct first piece inspections and various tests (continuity, hi pot, cable connection, cable pin pull) as per specifications and work instructions.
  • Check and match products according to ECN, bill of material, and processes.
  • Complete work order travelers accurately and assist with labeling products as per customer purchase orders.
  • Identify and document non-conformities in the Quality database according to Mistras Quality procedures.
  • Designate products to stock or to the test department after in-process inspection is completed.
  • Support the Quality Manager in ensuring all products and services meet established quality standards.
  • Perform final inspections on finished products, confirming specifications and conducting visual and measurement tests.
  • Document non-conformities in the Quality database and adhere to Mistras Quality Management system procedures.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or higher
  • At least 5 years of Quality Control experience in an electronic manufacturing environment
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Computer literate - MS Office
  • Experience using mechanical and electronic measuring equipment
  • Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings
  • Good organizational and record-keeping skills
