About the position

The Quality Control Technician role at Newell Brands involves ensuring that products meet high-quality standards through various testing and inspection processes. This position is critical in supporting the manufacturing process by documenting quality issues and maintaining inventory systems. The technician will work with minimal supervision and must be able to interpret technical documents to assess product quality.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test or measure products, installations, or work for conformance to specifications
• Notify production supervisors and other personnel of production problems, and assist in identifying and correcting the issue
• Examine work orders and converse with equipment operators and maintenance technicians to ascertain whether mechanical or human errors contributed to quality
• Assist and facilitate rework activities
• Maintain a safe and accident-free environment by adhering to safety standards and identifying safety issues and reporting them to the supervisor or safety manager

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent, two-year degree or equivalent preferred
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Must be detail-oriented and have basic math skills
• Necessary computer skills that include spreadsheet and database software experience
• Previous experience using basic measurement equipment preferred

Nice-to-haves

• Must be a team player and able to communicate effectively with co-workers and leadership
• PkMS and SAP experience preferred
• Experience with injection, structural foam, or rotational plastic molding preferred
• Basic knowledge of PPAP preferred
