About the position

The Quality Control Technician role at First Team Professional Resources involves inspecting, testing, and sanitizing high-end medical equipment. The technician will be responsible for data entry related to equipment management and ensuring compliance with customer requirements. This position requires multitasking and the use of various systems to maintain inventory and coordinate repairs.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect high-end medical equipment and perform testing and sanitization.
  • Enter equipment numbers and barcodes into the system.
  • Coordinate inspection updates with the Inventory Management System.
  • Ensure inbound units needing repair are properly tagged and placed in the correct area.
  • Alert Inventory Control and clients about equipment needing repair and coordinate repair schedules.
  • Clean and maintain medical equipment, performing decontamination as required.
  • Conduct basic function testing of medical equipment, including system power-ups.
  • Complete necessary paperwork associated with daily activities.
  • Coordinate daily calls with the TEC office.
  • Ensure all units have accurate and readable barcodes.
  • Meet shipping dates and follow established shipping and receiving procedures.
  • Facilitate physical inventory counts and verify actual counts against the Inventory Management System.
  • Ensure allocated units are used for orders and check sheets are correct.
  • Organize and maintain the warehouse area according to MedTec policies.
  • Assist with tradeshow staging and training on-site as required.
  • Report any issues or discrepancies to management.
  • Interact with clients regarding inventory availability and allocation.
  • Track and trace small parcel shipments as needed.

Requirements

  • Experience in inventory management.
  • Mid-level quality assurance skills.
  • Quality control experience.
  • Proficient in data entry and computer skills.

Benefits

  • Starting pay of $19/hr with potential raise after 800 hours to $23/hr.
  • Full-time position with expected hours of 40 per week.
