About The Position

The Quality Control Technician at Magnaflux is responsible for ensuring that processes, products, and systems meet internal and customer specifications. This role involves inspecting raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods, as well as maintaining quality assurance operations and laboratory equipment. The technician will report to the Quality Control Manager and work primarily during the day shift from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent essential.
  • Experience with Quality Control Techniques.
  • 1-2 years chemistry lab experience preferred.
  • Basic Computer Skills - Word, Excel, Internet, Outlook.
  • Quality control testing skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and operating instructions.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information to customers and other personnel.
  • Ability to solve practical problems in situations with limited standardization.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in a technical field beneficial, but not required.
  • Flexible to work overtime when necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and approve raw materials by collecting samples and conducting inspections and physical tests.
  • Collect, report, and enter raw material, finished goods, and pre-mix data into the database.
  • Inspect in-process products by confirming specifications and conducting visual and physical tests.
  • Determine disposition of finished products by confirming specifications and conducting visual and measurement tests.
  • Maintain quality assurance operations by following policies and procedures and reporting needed changes.
  • Certify finished products and provide certificates and documentation as needed.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment by following operating instructions and performing basic maintenance and calibration as required.
  • Assist in various lab duties such as performing internal audits and maintaining stock of lab supplies.
