About the position

The Quality Control position at Minute Men Staffing involves performing inspections, checks, and tests during the manufacturing of concrete products. The role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to work in various weather conditions while ensuring safety and quality standards are met. Responsibilities

• Perform quality control inspections, checks, and tests during the manufacture of products.
• Inspect materials, parts, and products at different stages of production.
• Record observations and make recommendations for improving processes.
• Familiarize with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the concrete industry.
• Regularly observe the production process including setup, casting, stripping, and storage of product.
• Work with production to identify and resolve quality issues related to casting and concrete performance.
• Manage housekeeping to ensure a safe workplace.
• Perform other tasks as needed.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years prior experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Understanding of a manufacturing environment, preferably in a concrete plant or quality control.
• Ability to interpret shop drawings and job specifications.
• Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office.
• Solid math aptitude.
• Ability to train and obtain technical certifications as directed and supported by the company.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in the construction and/or building materials industry preferred, but not required.
• Lab experience is a plus.
• Blueprint reading is a plus.
