About the position

The Quality Data Analyst Intern will work within the quality systems and intelligence team at Viasat, focusing on system automation and data-driven analysis. This role involves developing data pipelines, performing data transformations, building reports, and identifying automation opportunities. Interns will collaborate with internal teams and customers to address quality-related challenges, enhancing their analytical skills through hands-on experience with various tools and platforms.

Responsibilities

• Meet with customers to identify problem statements and drive project requirements.
• Perform data transformations to build an efficient data set.
• Develop visualizations or tools.
• Compare various technologies and select the best tool and setup for the problem.
• Attend and contribute to sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Statistics, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Experience with basic coding in at least one of these languages: Python, R, SQL.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
