About the position

The Quality Documentation Technician is responsible for transferring inspection information from blueprints to formal documentation, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the process. This clerical role requires minimal supervision and involves reading blueprints, ballooning prints for FAI inspection, and documenting critical dimensions and features in compliance with AS9100 standards.

Responsibilities

• Transfer inspection data from blueprints and CMM reports to AS9100 forms.
• Balloon prints for FAI inspection as needed.
• Mark up blueprints with balloon numbers to identify specific features or dimensions.
• Ensure all critical dimensions and features are clearly identified and documented.
• Provide effective and timely documentation into the AS9100 FAI System.
• Follow instructions and work with minimal supervision.
• Complete additional job duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of experience in a related field.
• Hands-on experience with blueprint reading and ballooning in a professional setting.
• Strong knowledge in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
• Must be able to read and understand blueprints.
• Knowledge of ballooning techniques and tools.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal).
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Exceptional time management abilities.
• Proactive and self-motivated with a positive attitude.

Nice-to-haves

• DSQR certification (preferred)
• Experience in manufacturing (1 year preferred)
• Experience in ballooning (1 year preferred)
