About the position
The Quality Electrical Inspector role is a part-time position focused on on-site quality engineering inspection for a manufacturing facility. The inspector will be responsible for visually inspecting weld components, managing additional inspectors, and collaborating with the manufacturer's management to ensure quality standards are met and defects are minimized. This role requires strong technical skills, including the ability to read engineering drawings and utilize basic hand tools, as well as proficiency in reporting using Microsoft Office applications.
Responsibilities
- Visually inspect and record all weld components of each product.
- Manage additional inspectors assigned to the site.
- Read and interpret engineering technical drawings.
- Engage with manufacturer's management, quality, and robot operators to prevent defects.
- Catalog defects that occur during inspections.
- Submit daily and weekly reports using Microsoft Word or Excel.
Requirements
- 3+ years' experience in a Quality related position.
- QC Engineer with Electrical Inspection background preferred.
- Ability to work independently.
- Comply with all professional ProQC and manufacturing site guidelines and safety requirements.
- Good communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
