About the position

The Quality Engineer position at our client, a leader in flexible shaft technology for aerospace and automotive applications, is a pivotal role aimed at ensuring the highest quality standards in their products. The ideal candidate will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to making a substantial impact on product quality and compliance within a regulated industry, such as aerospace, automotive, or medical manufacturing. In this role, the Quality Engineer will be responsible for preparing essential quality documentation, including inspection procedures, First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) for aircraft, Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) documents for automotive applications, and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs). The position also involves conducting internal audits and supporting external audits by addressing audit findings, generating audit reports, and determining suitable corrective and preventive actions. A critical aspect of the role is performing root cause analyses and implementing corrective actions to enhance product and process reliability. The Quality Engineer will analyze product and process failures, develop and formulate test procedures, and work collaboratively with various departments, including Product Development, Planning, and Sales, to address quality and regulatory issues. Responsibilities

  • Prepare quality documents, including inspection procedures, aircraft FAIRs, automotive PPAPs, CAPAs, and more.
  • Conduct internal audits and support external audits by resolving audit findings, creating audit reports, and determining appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
  • Perform root cause analyses and implement corrective actions.
  • Analyze product and process failures.
  • Develop and formulate test procedures.
  • Enhance QA inspection processes and procedures.
  • Collaborate with Product Development, Planning, Sales, and other Departments on quality and regulatory issues.

Requirements

  • Minimum educational level: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering;
  • 1-3 years of related Quality Assurance technical experience in a regulated industry such as automotive, aerospace, medical manufacturing, etc.;
  • Strong knowledge of failure analysis principles;
  • Computer literate with working knowledge of MS office, database, spreadsheets, and ERP system;
  • Great attention to detail and accuracy;
  • Good communication skills, both verbally and in writing;
  • Possess an engaging, focused, and curious personality.
