About the position

The Quality Engineer at Jabil will play a crucial role in improving systems and training indirect employees on quality tools within the Quality and Engineering functions. This position focuses on preventing and mitigating potential risks, leading corrective and preventive actions, and ensuring the effectiveness of quality processes in manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

  • Administer JIRA system between Jabil and customer to achieve maximum scores in Quarterly Business Reviews.
  • Train all new Quality Engineers and Supplier Quality Engineers on Jabil systems and processes.
  • Create LPA level 2 and 3 schedules and report to management on the health of the system.
  • Oversee and report on the effectiveness of the production QRQC process.
  • Review and assess CRR reports and damage reports from customers.
  • Lead root cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventive actions for large systemic internal or customer-related issues.
  • Conduct yearly Quality Baseline assessments and lead efforts to improve scores to management-defined targets each year.
  • Capture and communicate best practices and lessons learned within CVG facilities and overall within Jabil.
  • Ensure metrics for CAPA's and Jira's for timeliness are met.
  • Review current Quality systems and collaborate with local IT or global quality teams to improve them.
  • Develop plans to automate or remove manual inspection without negatively impacting quality performance.
  • Interface and provide technical support on quality issues with customers.
  • Support weekly customer quality meetings.
  • Assist in developing Monthly Operations Review and Quality Business Review presentations.
  • Adhere to all safety, health, and security policies and procedures.
  • Conduct continuous improvement projects using lean and Six Sigma methodologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of Quality Engineer/Program Management experience in a related industry or field.
