About the position

We are seeking an experienced Automation Test Lead to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automation testing, particularly with API and mobile testing, and possess hands-on experience with tools like Selenium and Appium. This role requires expertise in AWS-based testing, a solid understanding of service workflow automation, and proficiency in various testing methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute automated test scripts using Selenium and Appium, ensuring high-quality software delivery.
  • Conduct comprehensive testing of APIs and message queues (MQs) to validate functionality, performance, and reliability.
  • Automate service workflows, improving efficiency and accuracy in testing processes.
  • Utilize tools like LoadRunner and JMeter for performance testing, identifying bottlenecks and ensuring optimal application performance.
  • Leverage Linux environments and log tools such as Kibana for monitoring and troubleshooting test results.
  • Lead multi-vendor integration testing efforts, ensuring alignment across teams and adherence to project timelines.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-vendor and onshore-offshore teams, fostering a cohesive working environment.
  • Maintain strong communication with stakeholders, providing regular updates on testing progress and issues.
  • Implement and promote Agile testing practices (preferably SAFe) within the team to enhance efficiency and adaptability.
  • Track and report on key quality engineering (QE) KPIs, driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in automation testing, with a focus on API and mobile application testing.
  • Proficient in automation tools (Selenium, Appium) preferably using Java.
  • Knowledge of Android Studio and mobile device testing.
  • Experience with AWS-based testing environments.
  • Familiarity with performance testing tools (LoadRunner, JMeter).
  • Strong understanding of Linux and log analysis using Kibana.
  • Proven track record of leading testing teams and managing complex integration testing projects.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interface with diverse teams and stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certifications in Agile methodologies (e.g., SAFe) or Quality Engineering.
  • Experience with test management tools and CI/CD pipelines.
