About the position
The Quality Engineer at Cannon Automotive Solutions is responsible for analyzing all stages of the manufacturing system to maximize product quality. This role involves overseeing root cause analysis, implementing corrective actions, and enhancing the quality system through continuous improvement activities. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess knowledge of prevention planning and non-conformance correction.
Responsibilities
- Oversee root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for process/product related concerns
- Enhance the Quality System with continuous improvement activities, such as 5S, Kaizen, and lean methods
- Develop, implement, and participate in training to build/improve quality awareness among new and existing employees
- Coach, mentor, and support a team of Quality Inspectors
- Analyze failure and preventative actions to ensure a timely resolution to all customer concerns/complaints
- Plan, organize, and maintain quality documentation
- Manage suppliers' performance and conduct internal/external audits
- Evaluate and examine the company's product specifications to equal customer requirements
Requirements
- 3 years of supervisory or related work experience in a manufacturing/production environment
- Post-secondary education or equivalent
- Ability to retain information and communicate effectively, both written and oral
- Ability to stand for long periods of time/lift 23 kg (50 lbs)
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Able to work 3-shift model: Midnights, Days, Afternoons, and required OT
Nice-to-haves
- 5 years of supervisory or related work experience in a manufacturing/production environment
- Experience with computerized living documents (PFMEA, Control Plan, PPAP)
