About the position

As a Quality Engineer at BAE Systems, you will be supporting the development teams concerning Quality Assurance tasks and activities. Your role will involve planning, conducting, reporting, and effectively communicating Quality Assurance tasks and activities. You will also support senior members of the Quality Assurance department in conducting activities such as non-conformance management, first article inspections, audits, product release, and document reviews. Engagement with project teams and supporting functions will be a key part of your responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the development teams concerning Quality Assurance tasks and activities
• Planning, conducting, reporting and effectively communicating Quality Assurance tasks and activities
• Supporting senior members of the Quality Assurance department in conducting activities such as non-conformance management, first article inspections, audits, product release and document reviews
• Engagement with project Teams and supporting functions

Requirements

• Experience of EN9100 (AS9100) Quality System requirements
• Knowledge and some experience of First Article Inspections to AS9102
• Quality Assurance Planning
• Supplier Quality Assurance Management
• Drawing and Document Reviews and Configuration Management
• Experience in Root Cause & Corrective Action investigations

Nice-to-haves

• Awareness of the development life cycle of projects from phase 2 to phase 5
• Knowledge of APQP/PPAP to AS9145
• Previous experience in electronic products
• Proficiency in compliance procedures: Systems / Safety - APR 4754 / ARP 4761
