About the position

The Quality Engineer at Mitsubishi Chemical Polyester Film is responsible for ensuring ongoing quality support and improvement for assigned products and areas. This role involves managing product quality claims, conducting investigations, and leading improvement projects to enhance customer relationships and product quality. The engineer will also support the development of operating personnel's quality knowledge and maintain the quality management system according to ISO 9000 standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform trend analyses of quality losses for assigned areas and products.
• Lead focused improvement projects/teams for continual quality improvement.
• Manage product quality claims for assigned customers, including investigation and corrective actions.
• Promote enhanced customer relationships through routine quality reviews and visits.
• Complete quality-related customer questionnaires and audits.
• Provide hands-on investigation and real-time troubleshooting of quality defects.
• Support daily quality management for assigned areas and customers, including non-conforming product management.
• Report monthly quality metrics for assigned manufacturing lines.
• Support knowledge and skill development of operating personnel regarding quality culture.
• Provide quality-related trial support for new products and customer qualifications.
• Assist in maintaining and improving the quality management system through ISO 9000 standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
• 2-5 years of relevant experience.
• Excellent interaction and communication skills.
• Ability to work and learn in a team environment.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Knowledge of and experience in quality assurance and testing.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and quality analysis software.
• Knowledge of statistical process control and problem-solving techniques.

• Experience in the manufacturing industry.
