About the position

Forge Biologics is seeking a Quality Engineering & Validation Intern to join our 2025 Ignite Internship Program. In this role, you will have the opportunity to ensure quality engineering and validation through system qualification, process improvement, and program management. You will gain hands-on experience in the gene therapy manufacturing process through qualification of GMP systems, such as chromatography systems and bioreactors (up to 5000 L).

Responsibilities

  • Get hands-on experience with cGMP Systems, including manufacturing equipment and laboratory instruments, and interact with all departments in Operations.
  • Support projects related to validation and assist with implementation of new cGMP Systems.
  • Support several cross-functional quality engineering and validation activities such as functional verification, data peer review, and report analysis.

Requirements

  • Current junior currently enrolled in a full-time bachelor's degree program from an accredited college or university with a 3.0 minimum GPA or equivalent.
  • Studying Life Sciences, Engineering, or related field.
  • Self-starter, detail-oriented, collaborative, and organized.
  • Project management skills and experience in the lab setting is a plus.
