About the position

The position involves supervising and coordinating the daily activities of the Production Engineering and Quality Assurance Department at Watts, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations while promoting quality awareness within the organization. The role includes reporting on departmental KPIs, managing quality assurance staff, and leading continuous improvement initiatives to support the company's strategic goals.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises the day-to-day operations of the quality assurance staff.
  • Develops and maintains effective and efficient workflows.
  • Leads and participates in projects related to quality assurance.
  • Ensures compliance with ASME quality management programs and other industry standards.
  • Leads resolution of non-conformance items.
  • Manages the M.T.E calibration program.
  • Guides employees in resolving escalated and complex requests.
  • Promotes quality awareness and continuous improvement activities.
  • Oversees the process and analysis of returned goods and material rejections.
  • Supports the internal auditing program.
  • Coordinates corrective action and quality alert programs.
  • Supervises personnel, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Provides support to improve cost, quality, and delivery.
  • Participates in New Product Development reviews.
  • Supports shop floor activities, especially with new product development validation.
  • Supports new supplier onboarding processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's and/or Master's in Engineering.
  • Ten years' experience in Quality Assurance.
  • Ten years' experience in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering.
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning Systems.
  • Knowledge of ASME Sections VIII and IX.
  • Training Certificates preferred.
  • Ability to take initiative and be resourceful.
  • Ability to communicate and work with colleagues in different departments.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing.
  • Experience with Six Sigma methodology is a plus.
