About the position
The Quality Engineering Manager at Idex Corporation plays a pivotal role in overseeing the quality assurance processes within a high precision filtration company. This position is integral to ensuring the reliability and performance of products across various industries, including Medicine, Computing Power, Clean Energy, and Space Exploration. The manager will lead a team of quality engineers, drive quality improvement initiatives, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet complex industry standards and customer expectations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all day-to-day functions of the quality department and personnel.
- Achieve and maintain reproducible and reliable measurement techniques and test methods.
- Engage in technical problem solving with manufacturing to drive root cause analysis and process repeatability.
- Manage a team of quality engineers and lead quality improvement activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Engineering, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 10 years of overall experience in quality engineering.
- 3-5 years of supervisory experience in quality inspection.
- Broad knowledge of statistics and statistical process control, including process capability and Gage R&R.
- Familiarity with quality standards such as ISO 9001 and AS9100.
- Experience with SPC, PFMEA, Root Cause Analysis, and leading corrective and preventative actions.
Nice-to-haves
- ASQ Certification as a Quality Manager (CQM) or Quality Engineer (CQE).
- Strong background in the Aerospace, Medical, or Semiconductor industry.
- Certifications or formal training in quality standards, measurement equipment, and data analytics.
- Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
