About the position

The Quality Engineering Manager at Olympus is responsible for overseeing the quality assurance processes and ensuring that products meet the highest standards of quality and safety. This role involves leading a team of quality engineers, implementing quality control measures, and collaborating with various departments to enhance product quality and compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the quality engineering team to ensure effective quality assurance processes.
  • Develop and implement quality control measures to ensure product compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and improve product design and manufacturing processes.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide training and support to team members on quality engineering best practices and methodologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in quality engineering or quality assurance roles, preferably in the medical device industry.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO 13485, FDA regulations).
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams and projects.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience with Six Sigma or other quality improvement methodologies.
  • Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and quality tools.
