Flex is seeking a Quality Engineer to join our extraordinary teams in Austin, TX. This role is pivotal in maintaining quality engineering programs, standards, and improvements within the organization. As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and initiating standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation of products. You will devise sampling procedures and design forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data. Your expertise will be crucial in developing and implementing methods and procedures for the disposition of discrepant materials, as well as assessing associated costs. In this position, you will direct workers engaged in measuring and testing products, tabulating data concerning materials, product, or process quality and reliability. You will compile and write training materials and conduct training sessions on quality control activities. Additionally, you will support Product Engineers and Quality Program Managers with customer interfaces on quality-related issues, ensuring data availability and integrity for all quality-related data. You will consolidate and report quality results, initiate corrective action requests as needed, and track them to satisfactory completion. Your role will also involve assisting with the development and implementation of quality audits and maintaining quality standards for processing materials into finished products. You will design and implement methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment. Furthermore, you will explore reports and returned products, recommending corrective actions as necessary. Establishing programs to evaluate the precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement, and research of equipment and facilities will also be part of your responsibilities. You will provide liaison to various regulatory bodies, ensuring compliance and quality standards are met throughout the production process.
