About the position

The Quality Improvement Consultant at St. Elizabeth Healthcare is responsible for implementing quality-related performance improvement initiatives, enhancing patient satisfaction, and ensuring compliance with external regulatory standards. This role collaborates with clinical departments to drive improvements in healthcare outcomes and supports both clinical and non-clinical initiatives aimed at enhancing labor productivity. The Consultant will analyze data, produce deliverables, and work closely with various teams to meet organizational goals and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead implementation of system-wide improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma and LEAN.
  • Analyze, implement, and manage clinical performance improvement and patient satisfaction initiatives.
  • Create quality improvement action plans as necessary and provide feedback on system effectiveness.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement across the hospital and develop plans for enhancement.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to complete project life cycles on time and within budget.
  • Support the development of standard project deliverables and benefit tracking reports.
  • Prepare and present reports on project status and quality issues to leadership.
  • Train new employees on quality improvement concepts and software.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • Two years of experience in quality/process improvement or industrial engineering.
  • Certification in Six Sigma methodologies at the black belt level (within 6 months of hire).
  • Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and statistical software.
  • Experience with improvement sciences such as Lean and Six Sigma.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certification in LEAN (within 6 months of hire).
  • Experience with clinical information systems and data analysis.
