About the position

The position involves ensuring that all components requiring Quality Control validation meet the specifications outlined in Drawings, BOMs, Work Orders, and Customer Purchase Orders. The role includes documenting measurement results during validation using an internal dimensional inspection form and acceptable measuring devices. The candidate will need to comprehend drawing dimensions and tolerance levels, perform receiving inspection tasks, and generate Nonconformance Material Reports. The final inspection of the product will be performed according to the AQL Sampling Table unless otherwise specified. Additionally, the candidate will verify traceability to customer, industry, and FOGT requirements, ensure all operations and inspection steps are completed according to Work Order instructions, sign and date all associated areas within the internal Work Order process, upload documents into customer portals as required, and assist in other Quality departments as needed. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • A minimum of five years of hands-on inspection experience in measurement and visual inspection areas.
  • Experience in using measuring devices such as Vernier, dial and digital calipers, micrometers, steel rules, pin, radius, angle and thread gages, height gages, surface plates, laser mics, vision equipment, and force gages.
  • Ability to read and decipher engineering blueprints and CAD drawings.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) drawings.
  • Ability to function in a production environment while performing computer and documentation tasks.
  • Experience working within a quality system, ISO 9001 or API quality system.
  • Proficient with personal computer filing systems and Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.
