About the position

Driverge Vehicle Innovations, the leading builder of commercial shuttles, wheelchair accessible vans, transporters, and small buses in the country, is seeking a skilled Quality Inspector to join our team. With our expertise in vehicle conversions for various industries and innovative solutions for camper vans, we offer a rewarding career opportunity for those passionate about the auto industry. The Quality Inspector Lead will be responsible for ensuring that team members are following inspection processes, inspecting vehicles in-process, and checking all finished products to determine if manufacturing methods, procedures, and processes were followed, meeting all requirements. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting root cause analysis utilizing proven quality methodologies such as 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, and 8D, and implementing corrective actions. You will also train Quality Inspectors to identify defects or non-conforming items prior to the need for rework. Maintaining inspection pictures on the network drive and quality documents for the facility is essential, as is maintaining organization and quality standards by approving incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products while recording quality results. You will perform torque tests, A/C & heat temperature tests with calibrated equipment, and delegate tasks as necessary while leading by example. Problem-solving and finding solutions to rectify errors will be a key part of your responsibilities, along with complying with Driverge Core Values (LOVE IT) and completing other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure team members are following inspection processes.
  • Inspect vehicles in-process and check all finished products.

  • Record quality results and maintain organization and quality standards.
  • Calculate payload and apply decals on upfitted vehicles.
  • Perform torque tests and A/C & heat temperature tests with calibrated equipment.
  • Delegate tasks and lead by example.
  • Problem-solve and find solutions to rectify errors.
  • Comply with Driverge Core Values (LOVE IT).
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of quality experience.
  • 2+ years of related manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and persistent problem solver.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to document findings.
  • Solid verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
  • Must maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Candidates must successfully complete background check protocols.
